Section A – General Terms & Conditions

Crafted Cleans Limited supplies a wide range of cleaning services.  Some of the Terms and Conditions herein vary according to the Service specified in the Proposal or Work Order.  This Section A contains general information and clauses applicable to all; additional clauses are specified according to the Services specified in the Proposal, Work Order or Terms of the Business Agreement, and are sent out in due course.

1. DEFINITIONS

In these Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:

“Crafted Cleans” means Crafted Cleans Limited.

“Client” means any individual (natural person(s)) who engage with Crafted Cleans for their services.

“Cleaner” means any individual (natural person(s)) hired by the client to carry out services.

“Services” means one or many cleaning services supplied by Crafted Cleans to the Client.

“Level of Service” means Standard Clean, Spring Clean and Deep Clean*.

NB – The level of Service is determined solely by Crafted Cleans.             

“Frequency of Service” means how often the service is carried-out. Typically this is daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly but subject to variation. This may also me regular or one-off cleans.

“Assignment” means the cleaning job agreed by Crafted Cleans, Client and Cleaner(s).

“Minimum Service Hours” means any cleaning assignments must be for a minimum of two hours.

“Hours” means the number of hours to be spent on an assignment.

“Rate” means the hourly rate per assignment for the cleaner.

“Completion” means when an assignment has been completed.

“Introduction and Management Services” means the process involved in matching Cleaners with Clients and managing such services thereafter. This includes: Advertising for Cleaners, Interviewing cleaners – remotely using Zoom/Teams or such like software, and arranging a face to face interview with the client at their property.   

“Fees” means the fees payable to Crafted Cleans for its Introduction and Managements Services.

“Business Days” means any day that falls on or between Monday – Friday.

“Weekend Days” means any day that falls on Saturday-Sunday.

“Bank Holiday” means any day that falls on a national holiday (UK only).

“Power Supply” means access and usage of client power supply, including water, electricity and gas.

“Cleaning Products” means all cleaning products required to carry out the cleaning assignment which need to be supplied by the client.

“Banned Cleaning Products” means any cleaning product that is banned to use.

“End of Tenancy/Airbnb” means an assignment to clean a complete property post occupancy, including a house, flat, studio or maisonette.

“Proposal” means the proposal prepared by Crafted Cleans outlining the potential specifications for the assignment, and the costs to be paid by the Client to Crafted Cleans and Cleaners.

“Agreement” means the acceptance of a Proposal or Work Order whereby a Client Signifies their approval of any of the aforementioned. Agreement can be signed either through a signature or acceptance email.

“Work Order” means the document which is based on a Proposal and signed by the Client, summarising the details relevant to the Assignment including the cost, timelines for the delivery of the Services.

“Purchase Price” means the price for the Service as detailed in the Proposal or Work Order.

“Subscription Price” means the recurring (monthly or otherwise) price for the Introduction and Management Services described within.

2.0 AGREEMENT

2.1 The Client assumes sole responsibility for ensuring that the Service(s) described in either Proposal or Work Order meets their requirements before signifying their agreement.

2.2 Upon Agreement, a contract shall be created between Crafted Cleans and the Client for the supply of the Services specified in the Proposal or Work Order.

2.3 Any quoted Purchase Price given by Crafted Cleans as part of the Agreement is only valid for a period of 20 Business Days from its date of issue.

2.4 By purchasing the Services or signifying Agreement, the Client acknowledges that they have read these Terms and Conditions, understands them and agrees to be bound by them.

2.5 If the person is purchasing the Service or signifying Agreement on behalf of another person, or other legal entity, they hereby represent and warrant that they have full authority to that person or other legal entity to these Terms and Conditions.

2.6 The Client agrees not to initiate any cleaning assignments directly with cleaners supplied by Crafted Cleans for a period of twelve months after the assignment/engagement date.  This includes cleaning assignments for themselves or any other third-party.   

3.0 PAYMENT TERMS

3.1 The Client agrees to pay the cleaner on completion of the assignment by cash or BACS on the same day. 

3.2 The Client agrees to pay Crafted Cleans its Introduction and Management Fees as set out in our Terms of Business Agreement sent out with a Proposal and/or Work Order.

4.0 CANCELLATION

4.1 Our cancellation terms are set out in the Terms of Business Agreements sent out with a Proposal and/or Work Order.

5.0 INSURANCE COVER & LIABILITY

5.1 Crafted Cleans have sufficient Insurance cover while sending Cleaners to Client’s property(s). This includes public & product liability insurance cover – £1,000,000 for each and every claim or loss, excluding defence costs and criminal proceedings costs. Employers liability insurance is no less than £5 million and satisfies the requirements of the relevant law applicable is Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Island of Jersey, the Island of Guernsey, the Island of Alderney.

6.0 CONFIDENTIALITY

6.1 Crafted Cleans will take sufficient measures to hold and maintain in strict confidence any confidential Information that is provided to the other, and will not disclose such information to any third party, except as may be required by law or to a trusted third party(s) for the sole purpose of enhancing our own business processes.

7.0 CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Any changes Crafted Cleans may make to these Terms and Conditions in the future will be posted on this page
